2024 Featured Display: Celebrating Wool

Sheep shearing will be demonstrated during the day. A restored 1950’s shearing plant will be used. During the shearing demonstration, techniques will be described and explained by a member.
The Bellarine Peninsula has farmed sheep for wool production since settlement. Wool was transported to Geelong which was the selling centre for Victoria. The
wool was then exported or used locally.
There will be an extensive display of old farm equipment, including steam engines, kerosene engines, older tractors and old wares.
Tractor with trailer and horse and cart rides will be going on throughout the day, depending on availability.
